Music & Opera
When it comes to Music and the Opera, the former lands of the Habsburg crown - and Vienna in particular - are second to none. With an Opera House in every major city; eight Opera Houses of international reputation; four world-famous Conservatoires; and at least five widely acclaimed Music & Opera festivals, the part of Central Europe that used to be the Austro-Hungarian Empire can be definitely characterised as the Musical Mecca of the world.
Our Society has a decided to Music and the Opera event each term. This will either be a Chamber Music session; or an Opera soirée.
